Preparing for Parenthood

Welcoming a baby can bring both joy and uncertainty. If you are feeling overwhelmed, you are not alone.

At West Shore Family Support, we are here to provide encouragement, practical support, and education as you prepare for your baby and the early stages of parenthood.

Support as You Prepare

It’s normal to have questions—about pregnancy, childbirth, and what life will look like with a new baby.

Our team is here to walk alongside you, helping you think through practical next steps, prepare for what’s ahead, and feel more confident as you move forward.

Prenatal and Parenting Classes

Our classes are designed to help you feel informed, prepared, and supported as you care for your baby.

Through both one-on-one and group settings, we cover topics such as:

  • Pregnancy and childbirth preparation
  • Breastfeeding and infant care
  • Car seat safety and infant CPR
  • Newborn care and early development
  • Everyday parenting support

Our Bright Birth Academy offers prenatal group classes throughout the year, providing hands-on education and support in a welcoming environment.

Practical Support Along the Way

As you participate in classes, you can also earn “Baby Bucks” to use in our boutique for essential baby items.

Through our Baby Bucks Boutique, families can receive diapers, wipes, clothing, and other needed supplies for children ages 0–4—helping ease some of the financial pressure that can come with preparing for a baby.

Additional Support and Referrals

We also help connect families with trusted community resources when additional support is needed, including housing, food, and financial assistance.

Our goal is to make sure you feel supported not just in preparing for your baby, but in the practical needs that come with it.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

Parenting comes with both challenges and moments of great joy—but no one is meant to do it alone.

At West Shore Family Support, we are here to support, encourage, and walk alongside you as you prepare for your baby and beyond.
