Does your life feel a bit out of control at the moment? We understand. An unplanned pregnancy is an overwhelming surprise, but it’s nice to know you have options.
Parenting
Parenting is joyous, fun, and challenging all at once. No one is fully prepared to parent because every child’s needs are unique.
Becoming a successful parent doesn’t depend on how much money or education you have. Successful parenting comes from love, determination, and support.
West Shore Family Support and our local community are ready to assist you. Whether you require material support, such as diapers, baby clothes, and accessories, or you need help paying bills, support is available.
At West Shore Family Support, we believe the more prepared you are to parent, the more successful you will be. We offer prenatal, birth, postpartum, and parenting classes. As you attend our classes, you earn “Baby Bucks” to exchange for necessary baby items in our Baby Bucks Boutique.

Making An Adoption Plan
A woman chooses to place her child for adoption for various reasons. Perhaps she’s not ready to parent or doesn’t want to parent.
She could be in an unsafe relationship, or she’s already raising other children. There are countless reasons to choose adoption, all of which are valid.
Today’s adoption process is very different from a few decades ago. An expectant or birth mother chooses the potential adoptive couple to raise her child.
In an open adoption, she has the opportunity to meet the couple before giving birth and begin building a lifelong relationship. There is also a semi-open and a closed adoption plan.
Making an adoption plan for your child is difficult, but our most challenging decisions are often the best.
Consider adoption if you love your child but realize you cannot care for them properly. We can provide referrals for reputable adoption agencies.
Abortion
Abortion is one of the options for your unexpected pregnancy. Like all your choices, it’s a life-altering decision to make. We can discuss abortion procedures, side effects, and potential risks.
However, West Shore Family Support does not provide or refer for abortions.
