Parenting Classes

Parenting comes with a lot of questions—no matter where you are in your journey.

At West Shore Family Support, we offer one-on-one parenting classes for expectant parents, new parents, and families with young children seeking support, practical guidance, and encouragement.

Whether you are preparing for your baby’s arrival or navigating the day-to-day challenges of parenting, we are here to walk alongside you.

Support for Moms AND Dads

We believe both moms and dads play an important role in a child’s life.

Our classes are available for mothers and fathers—together or separately—and are designed to meet you where you are. Whether you are parenting as a couple or on your own, we are here to support you.

We also recognize that dads often have unique questions and needs, and we are committed to supporting fathers as they grow in confidence and strength in their role.

Classes Designed Around Your Needs

Our one-on-one classes are tailored to your specific situation, questions, and goals.
Topics may include:

  • Prenatal preparation and newborn care
  • Feeding, sleep, and daily routines
  • Child development and behavior
  • Discipline and positive parenting strategies
  • Building strong, healthy family relationships

Our goal is to help you feel more confident, supported, and equipped in your role as a parent.

Support for Families Navigating Agency Involvement

West Shore Family Support also works with parents who are involved with the Department of Health and Human Services, Child Protective Services, or the court system.

We understand that parenting under these circumstances can feel especially stressful and overwhelming. Our goal is to provide a supportive, respectful environment where parents can receive encouragement, practical tools, and one-on-one guidance as they work toward greater stability and confidence in their parenting.

No matter the circumstances that bring someone through our doors, every parent is treated with dignity, compassion, and care.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

Parenting can be both challenging and deeply rewarding. You don’t have to have all the answers—we are here to support you along the way.
